CAROA/NAECC Conference at Community of Transfiguration, 2020 - Announcement

Dear Sisters and Brothers,

As many of you will know by now the Presiding Bishop has asked that all Episcopal Church meetings involving travel be postponed, cancelled or held remotely until May 31. I am writing to let you know that the Executive Committees of CAROA and NAECC have therefore cancelled our joint Leaders Meeting planned for the Transfiguration Spirituality Center at the end of April.

We have begun discussing the possibility of meeting remotely during the week of April 27 (i.e. by video/telephone) for at least some elements of our agenda, including our business meeting and perhaps some aspects of our planned conversation with the Presiding Bishop. I will keep you posted about this and about refunds for fees paid.

We are deeply grateful to Anne Reed and the Sisters of the Transfiguration who have worked so hard to welcome us, and to all those, including Mimi Farra of the Community of Celebration, who have been planning the liturgy and other aspects of our gathering. "In the Lord your labour is not in vain".

During these anxious times, we must above all be conscious of those who are most vulnerable, and hold each other up in prayer.
