Sr. Catherine Louise died on the eve of her 72nd profession anniversary, January 24, 2019. She had very recently fallen and broken her hip along with a few ribs. After consultation with the doctors and medical team, the decision was made not to do surgery. She was kept comfortable and as pain-free as possible and she died peacefully yesterday afternoon. Sr. Catherine Louise would have been 103 this coming April. Even though she was stone deaf, we communicated with her quite well by writing prompts in a notebook and she would respond back. There was certainly nothing wrong with her eyesight! To this day she could see like a hawk and would notice if something had been moved or changed when she came to visit. We will miss her visits and stories! May her soul and the souls of all the faithful departed through the mercy of God rest in peace.
